(This report is prepared by ecomstation.ru scout), source of information: EDGAR

  • Video: Boot from CD with Own Values and select VGA driver. Do not select Snap, Gradd, or Panorama because the screen comes up in hi-res with scrambled scan rate. Totally useless. Message said: 11 messages were lost, but I have no idea what they were.
  • Sound: On final reboot the screen comes up OK. Sound works! (A first for me in over 10 years). Then, from a USB drive copy and old version of Snap 2.x or 3.x onto the C: drive. I used snap-os2-2.0.2.exe and snapse-ecs-3.1.9.zip Both worked.
  • Network: Currently I have tried many Nic drivers to no avail. Windows Vista that came on the machine reports the nic as an Intel 82567 Gigabit. and the Wireless as an Intel 5300. I'd appreciate suggestions as to how to get one of those functioning.

2011-08-30 Just burned / loaded eCs 2.1 onto T400. Clean install with no problems. Chose Snap for video. Everything works (Lan Nic) except the Wireless and Com Ports. I need to work on the Wireless wrapper and Win Driver (which I have).

More later.
