Lenovo Thinkpad X200t

Mark: Average

(This report is prepared by ecomstation.ru scout), source of information: Sigurd Fastenrath

Howto: Install eCS 2 on modern Laptop keeping Preinstalled Windows 7

Just some information on the Lenovo X200T (7450-65G) I use: Working:

  • Panorama VESA, 1280X800 (no widescreen activator necessary) and 1620 X 1200 with docking Station and 21" Monitor
  • Intel LAN chip - fast and stable with the new e1000 Driver from mensys
  • USB - everything works OK
  • 4 GB of RAM
  • installed in "SATA Compatible" after installation switched to AHCI - no problems
  • SMP support workos with Intel Centrino 2 Core2Duo 2,13 GHz
  • Sound supported by UNIAUD (but UNIAUD Mixer not working)
  • no problems with dockingstation, if booted in there all components are recognized
  • VERY fast at all!

Problems

  • Power/Overheat: if connected to AC Power temperature rises up to 70 - 80C - DANGEROUS! If running on battery. temperature vary from 40 - 60C = usable, Chnanging to 1 CPU does not help
  • SD Card Reader not working (but not tested much)
  • WLAN not working
  • Bluetooth not working (who would expect :-) )
  • No suspend / resume support
