Brother HL-2070n
Mark: Very good I just tested the Brother HL-2070n monochrome laser printer using the
Brother HL-2060 printer driver. This printer was very easy to set up
using USB, parallel or ethernet connectors. The network setup was
simple, plug it in to the network and print a test page. Take settings
from test page and plug them in to SLPR port settings and pick a driver.
I used the Brother HL-2060 Laser driver included in the latest Omni
package. This printer can be set up with any Web browser right out of
the box. You do not have to boot to Windoze and change any network
settings for eCS to see this printer. It defaults to DHCP, and unlike
the Lexmark E120n, can be seen at the AUTO assigned IP address.
This is another nice monochrome laser printer for eCS for under $250.oo
Canadian. It is fast, has 16 Mb of ram and emulates an HP Laserjet,
Epson FX-850 and an IBM Proprinter, so there should be no problem
printing from DOS or Win 3.11.
