1) Realtek Ethernet problems still here - the drivers were improved,
there are troubles:

We could see that users wait for eComStation 2.2 and need all its features
and updates as soon as possible.
Currently eComStation 2.2 beta is available
- If your computer is equipped with UEFI instead of BIOS,
switch it to Compatible with BIOS mode.
Reminder: eComStation should work with any UEFI PC.
- Genmac installation fails, install
Genmac manually (from eCo Market or ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/genmac/)
- Sunny icons are not activated. Install full shareware Sunny icons.
- If you have problem of "RAM 512 Mb",
install external video adapter to the computer

Printing of documents in eComStation. Users asked us:
- Printing from Firefox. The page is scaled to fit A4 page.
As result, the letters are small, without anti-aliasing the letters
are ugly. What do you recommend?
- The same problem with printing from Lucide.
The letters are ugly.

Printing from Lucide / Firefox requires users select
300 dpi (instead of 600 dpi)? Else printing doesn't start or page is empty
- How to print several pictures on 1 page?
Answer: It's necessary develop utility aimed to print MxN pictures,
eCo Labs published technical task for this project.

eCo Software started the promotion of the conference
several monthes ago:
WSE 2013 news.
We didn't received a "license" to continue promotion of the event.
As result, you don't see announcements of the conference during the last
few monthes.
What what the plan?
- We were going rotate banners related to Warpstock Europe
(similar to WSE2011 banners)
- Collect and exchange ideas, what topics to discuss,
what reports to present.
- Promote the conference at other IT sites (not OS/2 only)
Some facts
- It's clear that the conferences are very important,
and give impulse for work during the next 12 monthes
- It's clear that the conference needs advertisment,
people should prepare for the trip, make investments.
- eCo Software is participating in all WSE conferences,
we made many presentations and published many reports.
Warpstock Europe 2014, 2015:
eCo Software starts to prepare promotion materials for the next conferences.

In the end of 90-th the users were expecting that
the development of OS/2 continues with new forces.
eComStation
system was founded in the end of 90-th, the development continues during the last 10 years.
General goal of eCS developers: eComStation (IBM OS/2 Warp) should run on real hardware.
There was a dangerous moment for OS/2 platform in 2007 when new generation of
video adapters flooded the market, so eCS users couldn't use the system on new computers anymore.
eCo Software was making research during several monthes, as result
Panorama VESA video driver was released
(developers of Panorama VESA).
The computers were changed in 2012 again, this required new significant changes
in Panorama VESA (Mensys BV).
Early (in 2005), the development of ACPI sub-system was started.
Computer without ACPI driver is similar to disabled robot-terminator packed to container.
To start the computer and make it work at full speed, it's necessary initialize it via ACPI.
eCo Software made the most complex part of the project - creation,
integration of ACPI-subsystem to the operating system. Several thousands of bug-reports were processed (we had several bug-trackers).
Active stage of development continued till the end of 2008.
In 2011 new generation of ACPI driver was released (Mensys BV).
New version of the driver works on any computer without blame.
The improvement of suspend/resume continues.

There were several internal builds of eComStation 2.2.
The users are testing eCS 2.2 beta 1 now (it's available by subscription).

We have updated our best-seller, Whatsnew: better integration to WPS.
The next step - implement REXX API, so you can manipulate archive files
from REXX scripts.
What's new:
- Additional menu item that allow to easy unpack all archive to the specified directory now added to "Open as" submenu of archive objects.
- Zippy can be integrated to folder context menu.
- The check mark of the archive element can be toggled via pressing of a SPACE keyboard button.
- Corrected suggested extraction path for multi-volumed archives.

SSD drives are 5-10 times faster than usual hard drives, SSD are silent and cool.
Contact your locla eComStation reseller and order SSD with eComStation pre-installed.
When do you need it?
- You don't have time to learn installation procedure
and you need ready for use disk
- The cost of SSD drive is high in your city and low in the city of the reseller
- Sometimes you can't install eCS to PC and you need aux PC.
