The users of eComStation/Rus get many products for free (programs developed by russian developers). This is wrong, users should pay for every application, utility and extender now.

eComStation may attract new users if it's commercially successful.
OS/2 (eComStation) is alive while people are using and improving the system. The developers of solutions ensure long life for our operating system because computers with OS/2 make money for their customers year by year. The SciTech SNAP Graphics products are no longer being actively developed,
and it is planned to have portions of the source code available under an
open source license. There will no longer be any future versions of SNAP
Graphics available from SciTech.
If you would like to use the latest SciTech release on your computer, it is

During the end of winter - beginning of spring we have released updates of: ACPI, GNU, USBDock, NeoWPS, Books.
1. ACPI
eComStation uses the latest Intel ACPI CA source code.
Major part of modern computers don't work properly without ACPI driver.
ACPI 3.8 is available from BETAZONE.

2. Panorama video drivers
You need Panorama VESA for old notebooks (2004 and older)
and you need it for modern notebooks (2004 and newer)

NeoWPS widgets (in the bottom of the web-page)
- Beer Battery widget -- battery widget for notebooks and servers with UPS. Shows battery level, time remaining.
- Master Name widget -- it is useful for those who like to make screenshots of the desktop and keep the signature.
- Reactor Temperature widget -- If your eComStation PC is used in a bedroom or dusty office then you should control the temperature of CPU (it is proportional to the dust level).

Today we ware proud to announce EmperoarTV 2.0.
EmperoarTV 2.0 brings digital TV experience to the OS/2 and eComStation
platform. This includes high quality MPEG2 hard disk recording and
playback. With the appropiate hardware you can watch free-to-air digital
satellite (DVB-S) unencrypted digital cable (DVB-C) and terrestrial (DVB-T)
broadcasts. The latter can be done even on your notebook using an USB2.0
attached receiver.
If digital TV is not available at your location, just get an analog PVR
card. You can not only watch TV. Digitize your old VCR tapes to full
featured MPEG2 and create DVDs and enjoy.

ACPI is updated, the documents, FAQs, troubleshooting are published at the homepage of ACPI
There are troubles with 37 computers only, Please visit the tracker and read the replies to your tickets.
- eComStation may work well, nevertheless make additional tests
- Post bug-reports if you have troubles, econimize your time, collect more logs in advance. Documentation -> How to post bug-report
- We are searching for advanced tester with motherboard based on AMD chipset, AMD X2 CPU (COM-port, serial cable, second PC)
- Debugging PCI Scan. We need advanced tester. With serial cable, debug kernel, 5 hours per day during 2 weeks.
- Do you have troubles with apm.add placed in the middle of config.sys?
- Inform us, does eShutdown work stable for you?
- Test SMP-safe Unicode dll (uconv.dll)
- Does QuadCore work for you? Post bug-reports with description of troubles
- We are waiting for reports from owners of Toshiba, Nec, Fujitsu-Siemens, Samsung, Sony notebooks. If eComStation users don't use such brands then we should move this companies to black-list as untested/unknown. eComStation PC
