We have sent a message the the developer of AMouse.
The behavior of ACPI changed:
previous versions of ACPI.PSD: IRQ12 was in PIC before init_complete,
new 3.08: IRQ12 is switched to APIC immediately

Current restrictions of ACPI for eComStation:
shutdown doesn't work on some computers. this doesn't relate to ACPI sometimes
CardBus doesn't work, - problems in drivers, not in ACPI
DOS Sessions may not work in SMP APIC mode
you can't load ACPI tables if using SMP kernel
ATI chipset is not supported
