While it has been reported that Convenience Pack 2 and Fixpack 16 were released for the various versions of Warp 4, I have not seen any reports of Fixpack 2 for eCS.
The files for Fixpack 2 for eCS were uploaded to the eComStation site and have been available in the download area since March 15, 2002.
The complete fixpack contains 8 files (files 7 and 8 are only required for SMP systems) and may be installed using eCS Fixtool 1.09 (also available on the download site).
After installation, the kernel is updated to the 14.088 level.

Digital cameras are very popular among OS/2 users. It's cool to make photos of nature, animals, etc. Don't use digicam in subway! It's a military object :)
If you care about native OS/2 software to control digicams then join our survey.

I'm currently working on my site and trying to get in touch with more OS/2-eCS games authors to make their old OS/2-eCS games Open Source. Making their games open source will help other developers in the community to learn from the code and possible continue this projects.
Right now Im listing all OS/2-eCS Open Source games.
So, if you know any game developer of an unsupported, abandon, new, old, nice or ugly OS/2-eCS game, ask them kindly to open source their game under any license he/she prefers, and let me know so I can package it and put it on my site.
Plus you can always tell me if Im missing an OS/2 game on my site, or any other sugestions.

You can download it here - mouse.zip. Moreover, there is changed usbmouse.zip, which has doubled motion speed. |

We've been watching for IBM's plans about Linux. Now, we have some information about it. IBM told some intresting facts about future development of OS/2 and Linux.
Programmers, who are working on these projects, are now joined together in one department. This department is porting OS/2 features to a Linux kernel. We already posted a message about their work. Now they almost finished porting OS/2 GUI - Presentation Manager and even WorkPlace Shell.
Due to this situation, we will be giving current OS/2 users all news from Linux world. This reorganization is most natural step by a moment.
The only thing we need is new logo for our site. All penguins are welcome to participate in this competition. |
